Welcome to ExamPlus! We are an online medical education platform which aims to widen access to medical education through information sharing and peer-to-peer learning. Collaboration is key to success in medicine and with ExamPlus we are promoting a collaborative approach to medical education at an early stage.

 

Peer-to-peer learning emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic as a powerful tool in medical education. The development and success of peer-to-peer initiatives during this time has contributed towards a strong body of evidence which points to peer-to-peer learning as a powerful tool in medical education. 

 

The Medical Platform: The ExamPlus medical platform allows medical students and doctors from around the world to share study material with each other in a variety of digital formats. Students, doctors and healthcare professionals can create an account for free, access shared study material, save and make notes on useful resources, and upload and teach others on a subject they are passionate about. 

 

Social Media and Multiple Choice Questions: The ExamPlus instagram page has 100+ multiple choice questions based on real world clinical scenarios which you can now access for free. We will soon be migrating these to the main ExamPlus website where we will encourage users to submit their own clinical scenarios (anonymised of course) so that others can learn from them.

Online Medical Global 2024 (OMG 2024): Medical education, innovation and research is traditionally shared through publication in journals and international conferences. However, these can be prohibitively expensive which acts as a barrier preventing access to these valuable resources. At ExamPlus we are promoting an Online Medical Global conference in 2024. Our goal is to improve medical education globally and increase information sharing among medical professionals through a free, open access medical education conference. OMG 2024 is now accepting posters so if you have an interesting case study or research project to share please send it in to us.

Careers advice: In order help students who are considering a career in medicine, ExamPlus is offering online sessions on evenings and weekends with talks by medical students, junior doctors and senior doctors in the UK. In these sessions we discuss topics ranging from navigating the medical school application process to choosing the right speciality for you.

Artificial intelligence: AI is playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future of healthcare, with significant advances in medical imaging, robotics, and drug development. The use of AI in medical education is no exception, offering vast opportunities to provide high standards of medical education for all. However, this is a field that should be approached cautiously, paying careful attention to feedback from students and healthcare professionals. We have integrated a personalised AI medical tutor as well as an AI medical blog onto the platform, focusing on gathering feedback through our blog's polls and discussion forum. It is only through open peer-to-peer discussion and human feedback that these models can be developed as a positive force for change in medical education
