Peptic Ulcer
3
Peptic ulcer disease is an important cause of abdominal pain. Although NSAIDs are a well-known cause, it actually takes a year of consistent use to cause problems. We have provided a way to understand the pathophysiology of peptic ulcers as well as how best to diagnose and treat them in order to avoid devastating complications.

As a rule it is taught that the pain from a gatric ulcer is worse after meals and the pain from a duodenal ulcer improves after meals. If anyone can explain the pathophysiology of this please share.

Thanks for sharing! Could you clarify the treatment of peptic ulcer disease. Isn't PPI + double antibiotic therapy only needed if there is proven H.pylori infection?
